New GOST™ EZ Tracker 2.0 Features Long Life, Rechargeable Battery
& Input for Contact Sensor or Panic Button
Compact unit operates up to 180 days between chargesFORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) – The new EZ Tracker 2.0 from GOST™ (Global Ocean Security Technologies – formerly Paradox Marine) provides global tracking and monitoring of recreational and commercial vessels and features an integral, long life rechargeable battery that will allow the unit to operate up to 180 days between charges.
Designed for continuous use where there is no external power source, the compact EZ Tracker 2.0 terminal measures just 10in by 7in by 2in (247mm x 178mm x 48mm). The EZ-Tracker 2.0 has one external interface connector which is used to connect a sensor or panic button and to charge the unit. It also has a key switch that allows you to switch the terminal “On” and “Off.” This helps preserve the life of the battery when the terminal is not in use.
When the sensor or panic button is activated the unit will generate an ‘in alarm’ message with the vessel name, latitude, longitude, speed & heading and will continue to do so at whatever interval is selected on the web site for the next four hours. After four hours, the unit will revert back to standard tracking messages at the normal reporting interval. A hardwired sensor can be connected to the device to monitor conditions remotely and the battery will operate up to 6 months between charges (with set to report every 6 hours reporting, approximately 2800 pings).
The terminal incorporates magnetic feet in addition to fixed mounting points to provide greater flexibility to monitor transitory or fixed assets.

GOST™ and Team Encore Support Children in Need
One Sailfish At A Time
Sponsorship Supports Fundraising Campaign For St. Jude Children’s Hospital
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) - Vessel security, tracking and monitoring systems supplier GOST (Global Ocean Security Technologies – formerly Paradox Marine) is sponsoring Team Encore for the current season of sailfish tournaments in southeast Florida. One of the most important aspects of the team’s effort this year is a ‘Sailfish for St. Jude’ fundraising campaign to help raise money for St. Jude’s Research Hospital, whose mission is to advance cures for pediatric disease.
The captain of Team Encore and the team’s Sea Vee 32 is Jamie Bunn of Bluewater Movements. “Team Encore is excited to have GOST as one of the sponsors for this season. The team is very passionate about the cause for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The combination of many small donations for each sailfish released can raise tens of thousands of dollars for this great charity,” Bunn said.
Team Encore started the season with an impressive 32 for 38 sailfish releases at the recent Silver Sailfish Derby in West Palm Beach.
In addition to financial support of the team, GOST has provided a NT-Evolution Security, Tracking and Video Surveillance system to watch over the vessel and capture some of the sport fishing action.
The NT Evolution uses a fourth generation tracking website which incorporates advanced Google & Bing mapping interfaces and uses the Inmarsat network of satellites with 99.99% reliability mandated by the IMO. It is the ideal solution for boats with limited space who want to hide the unit and strictly rely off key fobs. An IP rated enclosure protects the GOST wireless technology at the core of the system. This allows the NT Evolution to use the extensive range of marine-rated wireless sensors for security and monitoring in combination with the GOST Nav-Tracker satellite tracking product line.
The system can accommodate up to 32 wireless sensors, a hardwired zone input,16 key fob remotes and up to 8 wireless relays which can control AC or DC functions onboard the vessel. The wireless relays can be used to flash the lights or sound a siren on alarm and can be controlled from the key fob remotes. For customers who keep their boat docked behind their house it is possible to tie one of the wireless relays into the house’s security system to go off when the boat is being tampered with or stolen from the house.
For more information on how to donate to the Team Encore ‘Sailfish for St. Jude’ fundraising campaign, visit Encore Fishing Team on Facebook. A simple post on the wall indicating the amount pledged per release will start the process - donations will not be collected until the end of the season. The current number of releases for the team so far is 42. Estimated number of releases by the end of the season is 75. To make a fixed amount donation, visit Donate now to the Sailfish for St. Judes camgaign.

GOST™ Nav-Tracker GPS Tracking System Tracking the Progress of
Norwegian Entry Samson In 26th Atlantic Rally For Cruisers
AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS – GOST™ (Global Ocean Security Technologies – formerly Paradox Marine) Europe has supplied a GOST Nav-Tracker Inmarsat Satellite based GPS tracking system to monitor the progress of Samson, a Lagoon 400, the Norwegian entry in the 26th Atlantic Rally For Cruisers, captained by Jens Fjelnset. The fleet of 217 boats and 1,188 people left Palmas de Gran Canaria on November 20, bound for Saint Lucia.
The progress of Samson can be viewed on the GOST Europe web site at gosteurope.com/world-arc-boat-tracking.htm.
"GOST Europe is excited about our relationship with Jens Fjelnset as we track him in the ARC Rally and then as he continues to captain Samson on a two-year circumnavigation,” said GOST Europe President & CEO Mado van der Kamp. “It is a really great opportunity to demonstrate the reliability and effectiveness of our GOST Nav-Tracker GPS Tracking System and what sets our systems apart from the other trackers available in the market," van der Kamp added.
GOST Nav-Tracker can be used to track a vessel (or an entire fleet of vessels) from anywhere in the world on GOST’s New 4th Generation Tracking website. A vessels precise voyage tracking history and exact current location can be viewed & controlled on the website and as new reports come in from the Nav-Tracker, they are automatically updated to the site.
When a Nav-Tracker transmitter is mounted on a vessel and armed, a wireless ‘geo-fence’ with a 500-meter radius is created. If a boat is moved outside of this fence, Nav-Tracker uses Inmarsat based GPS satellite technology to monitor a boat’s location and notify up to ten people by email and/or text message every 2 minutes with the exact latitude/longitude, speed and heading of the vessel.
For more information about the voyage of Samson, visit www.sailsamson.com.

New GOST™ Phantom Wireless Security & Monitoring System
To Debut at 2011 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show
October 27-31, Electronics Tent Booth 385, Bahia MarFORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) – Global Ocean Security Technologies (GOST - formally Paradox Marine) will introduce the next generation GOST Phantom Wireless Security & Monitoring System with built in quad band GPRS/GSM Module at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, October 27–31 (Electronics Tent, booth 385, Bahia Mar).
GOST Phantom replaces the GOST Marine Magellan head unit but will maintain compatibility with the full line of GOST wireless security & monitoring sensors, GOST Inmarsat Satellite GPS Tracking & GOST Watch Surveillance systems.
"GOST Phantom takes the core functionality, reliability, and ease of use from our legacy Marine Magellan while adding greater capabilities, more salient consumer features and an alluring style. This gives boat owners true peace of mind while away from or when sleeping aboard their boat," said Brian Kane, GOST Director of Research and Development.
GOST Phantom has a completely revamped sleek black design, a crisp blue LCD screen and many enhanced capabilities - including the ability to report simultaneously via text message as well as traditional two-way voice. The unit can support up to 64 wireless sensors for security and monitoring and eight wireless relays to control virtually any AC/DC functions on board. Some of the wireless monitoring options available include high water in the bilge, battery bank low voltage, loss of shore power, temperatures in bait/food freezers, smoke, intrusion and much more.
Marinized wireless deck pressure sensors, door/hatch sensors, dual optical passive infrared motion sensors and pull sensors alert to intrusion or potential theft of a vessel. Relays can be programmed to activate a siren and flashing lights when a sensor is triggered to get would-be thieves off a boat immediately. When an event occurs, GOST Phantom will contact up to eight phone numbers with a voice and/or text message letting you know the vessel’s status and the event that has occurred. Key fob control allows for easy arming/disarming and display the system’s status using visual (LED) and auditory feedback. The unit also allows for independent arming/disarming of two separate partitions such as main quarters & crew/utility quarters on the vessel, offering two independent security systems in one.
GOST Phantom owners can remotely call in from any phone to check the status, arm/disarm the system, control output switches, leave voice mail messages for friends and crew or call in to have two way conversations with those on board through the unit’s hands free built-in speaker phone. The unit can also be set to discreetly make calls when certain user codes are entered to disarm the system so owners know exactly who is on board the vessel and when they are there (up to 16 users).

New GOST Nav-Tracker 4th Generation Inmarsat Satellite Based
GPS Tracking Website with Two-Way Control of SystemsFORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) - Global Ocean Security Technologies (GOST - formerly Paradox Marine) has launched a new, 4th generation, GOST Nav-Tracker website. The new website is an advanced web-based application that allows users to monitor GOST’s wide range of Inmarsat satellite based GPS tracking, security & monitoring systems from anywhere in the world.
GOST’s sophisticated technology now allows users to remotely control a relay on board their vessel to turn on/off any AC/DC function from the website, remotely over satellite by the click of a mouse.
“We have completely redesigned the new 4th generation GOST Nav-Tracker website incorporating both Google & Bing mapping applications with the ability to change from road to satellite to hybrid view. We have also added the ability for users to create several different types of website based geo-fences and actually draw them right onto the embedded mapping software,” said GOST President & CEO Jay Keenan.
GOST Nav-Tracker website users can choose from several geo-fence options, including alerts generated when a vessel travels outside a defined route or when a vessel enters or exits a pre-defined geo-fence. The new website will also allow users to view a history of the last 90 days of the vessel’s positions and to overlay a trace (breadcrumb trail) of their vessel, or fleet of vessels, with their exact current location and precisely where they have been.
The new site continues to offer the distinctive capability of two-way communication with the Nav-tracker unit. This feature is extremely important in the event the boat is stolen and needs to be tracked or loved ones are concerned about an overdue vessel. Users can arm/disarm the geo-fence, increase reporting intervals and even poll the unit to get the vessel’s exact position, latitude, longitude, speed and heading, in seconds. Enhanced capabilities now allow users to also drive a relay to turn on or off ANY A/C or D/C function on the vessel, all from the website.
If security or monitoring sensors on the vessel are tripped, the website will immediately send up to 10 text or email recipients a message alerting them to the event that has occurred. Users have the ability to select which alerts go to which users. The website’s Fleet Manager also allows multiple users to hold different levels of access to the site, from view only options to complete control of entire fleets.
The GOST Nav-Tracker system, in conjunction with Inmarsat’s Satellite Network, provide true global coverage everywhere except the most extreme poles with 99.99% reliability mandated by the IMO. Honorably, GOST received a medal from the US Coast Guard for their assistance in vessel recoveries.
Some insurance companies now require GPS tracking devices, like the GOST Nav-Tracker, to be installed on high performance boats and boats with high-horsepower outboards. Many insurance companies now offer discounts off annual premiums for vessels with GOST security, monitoring, tracking or surveillance systems on board.

See What’s Happening Onboard Via Smartphone or PC
With The New GOST™ Watch HD System
See at NMEA 2011, September 28-October 1, booth 45FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) - GOST™ (Global Ocean Security Technologies – formerly Paradox Marine) will introduce the GOST Watch HD System at the 2011 National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) International Marine Electronics Conference & Expo (booth 45), September 28-October 1 at the Sanibel Harbor Marriott Resort & Spa in Fort Myers, Florida.
The GOST Watch HD System can remotely monitor and record all activities on board a yacht from any computer or Smartphone, anywhere in the world. Watch live video of your yacht as it leaves the harbor or view activities in the salon, staterooms or engine room from any pc or mobile phone with internet access. Cameras can be set to record clips to the website based on motion detection and sent via email or text message to your computer or mobile phone.
The new GOST Watch HD’s IVR (Internet Video Recorder) is similar to a traditional DVR with the added advantage of being accessible either locally or remotely via the internet. The 250GB version features looped recording of up to 6 cameras for up to 30 days (24/7/30). The 1 Terabyte version features looped recording of up to 6 cameras for up to 3 months (24/7/90). Both versions feature simultaneous viewing, either locally or remotely over the internet, of full motion live or recorded video from up to 6 cameras. Archived clips can be downloaded to a PC and burned onto DVD's.
Both IVR's utilize an advanced MPEG4 compression whereby the more activity you have in front of the camera being recorded, the more storage space it utilizes. When landscapes in view of the camera have little activity, the IVR may have storage capacity for more then 30 days or 3 months respectively. In very high activity applications, such as cameras looking out at a busy marina with constant shimmering water, dock activity and moving boats in view, the recording time may be diminished.
GOST Watch HD can be used as a stand alone surveillance system or as part of the GOST Insight HD System. A variety of cameras are available from GOST or the system can be an easy add-on to existing analog or thermal cameras on board.
For more information about GOST Watch HD and other GOST marine security, monitoring and tracking products, visit booth 45 at NMEA 2011, www.gostglobal.com or call 1+954.565.9898.

GOST™ Nav-Tracker GPS Tracking Progress of
“Mobile CEO” and Family On Three-Year Circumnavigation
The three-year circumnavigation of the Leonard family - Scott, Mandi, Griffin, Jake and Luke -
aboard their Lagoon 500 Three Little Birds is being tracked by a GOST Nav -Tracker GPS
Tracking System.FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) - A Nav-Tracker GPS tracking system from boat security systems supplier Global Ocean Security Technologies (GOST – formerly Paradox Marine) is monitoring the progress of Three Little Birds, a Lagoon 500 catamaran, on a unique three-year circumnavigation.
The progress of Three Little Birds can be viewed on the GOST web site at: gostglobal.com/world-arc-boat-tracking-mobile-ceo.htm.
Boat captain Scott Leonard and his family (wife Mandi, sons Griffin, Jake and Luke) set sail in July and during the voyage, Scott is “The Mobile CEO” – running his multi-million dollar financial services firm while sailing around the world.
GOST Nav-Tracker can be used to track a vessel (or an entire fleet) from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. A boat’s precise voyage and exact location can be viewed (see image, above) and as new reports come in from the Nav-Tracker, they are automatically updated to the site.

New GOST™ Sensor Monitors Onboard Freezer Temperature FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) - GOST™ (Global Ocean Security Technologies – formerly Paradox Marine) has introduced a sensor that monitors the temperature inside onboard food storage and bait freezers and alerts up to five people with a voice phone call if the temperature rises five degrees above freezing (0 degrees C, 32 degrees F).
The IP-rated, wireless, battery powered GOST Freezer Sensor is available as an add-on to GOST Marine Magellan Insight, Premier, or Value Package vessel monitoring systems. "It is not uncommon for an owner or captain to arrive at their boat and be met by the unpleasant smell of spoiled meat or dairy products. A failed freezer compressor can cause thousands of dollars in damages and the boat often never smells the same," said Brian Kane, GOST Director of Research and Development.

GOST™ NT Evolution Foils Attempted Boat Theft In Florida FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) – A GOST™ (Global Ocean Security Technologies – formerly Paradox Marine) NT Evolution boat security, monitoring and tracking system stopped would-be boat thieves from making off with a 33’ Contender in greater Miami, Florida early Sunday morning, July 3. NT Evolution combines the GOST Nav-Tracker and Marine Magellan systems to provide boat security, monitoring and tracking in a single unit.
The Contender was in its slip when thieves attempted to steal it. They were stopped when the NT Evolution system’s audio and visual alarms sensed the intrusion, activated the siren and strobe light and alerted all of its contacts by text and email within 30 seconds of the event via the Inmarsat two-way tracking system.
The owners’ previous boat was stolen from the same slip a year earlier, causing the family to miss out on the entire summer season. "Summers are a precious thing for me and my family, to lose all last season was devastating. I knew that I needed to defend my new boat this year and that is exactly what the NT Evolution did. It prevented another theft,” said the owner, who requested anonymity for this story.
NT Evolution is a hybrid of the GOST Nav-Tracker and core Marine Magellan technology, making it the most sophisticated, all inclusive Nav-Tracker yet.
NT Evolution uses a third generation tracking website which incorporates an advanced Google Earth interface and uses the Inmarsat network of satellites for ultra reliability. It is the ideal solution for boats with limited living/ bunking space who want to bury the unit and strictly rely on key fobs.
An IP rated enclosure protects the GOST wireless technology at the core of the system. This allows the NT Evolution to use the extensive range of marine-rated wireless sensors for security and monitoring in combination with the GOST Nav-Tracker satellite tracking product line. The system can accommodate up to 32 wireless sensors, a hardwired zone input, 16 key fob remotes and up to 8 wireless relays which can control AC or DC functions onboard the vessel. The wireless relays can be used to flash the lights or sound a siren on alarm and can be controlled from the key fob remotes. For customers who keep their boat docked behind their house it is possible to tie one of the wireless relays into the house security system to set that off when the boat is being tampered with.
The GOST NT Evolution Package includes the GOST NT Evolution control unit with built in Marine Magellan core technology, 2 key fob remote controls, the antenna, a 30 ft antenna cable, a 6 foot power cable and covert antenna mounting bracket.

GOST Nav-Tracker GPS Tracking System
To Track Progress of Unique Circumnavigation
Mobile CEO, Family To Embark on Three-Year Voyage Aboard Lagoon 500
The three-year circumnavigation of the Leonard family - Scott, Mandi, Griffin,
Jake and Luke -aboard their Lagoon 500 Three Little Birds will be tracked
by a GOST Nav-Tracker GPS Tracking System.FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) – The Nav-Tracker GPS tracking system from boat security systems supplier Global Ocean Security Technologies (GOST – formerly Paradox Marine) will be used to monitor the progress of Three Little Birds, a Lagoon 500 catamaran, on a unique three-year circumnavigation.
Boat captain Scott Leonard and his family (wife Mandi, sons Griffin, Jake and Luke) will set sail in July and throughout the voyage, Scott plans to become “The Mobile CEO” – running his multi-million dollar financial services firm while sailing around the world on his 50 foot yacht.
"With so many people interested in following the progress of our trip, having GOST's Nav-Tracker GPS tracking system on our boat is critical to providing up to date, fully automated location information. Add to that the peace of mind provided with the geofence when we have to leave the boat in remote locations to return home for work,” said Scott Leonard.
GOST Nav-Tracker can be used to track a vessel (or an entire fleet) from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. A boat’s precise voyage and exact location can be viewed on Google Earth and as new reports come in from the Nav-Tracker, they are automatically updated to the site.
“With Nav-Tracker installed aboard Three Little Birds, we have an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the unique vessel tracking and monitoring capabilities of our system around the world,” said GOST President Jay Keenan.
When a Nav-Tracker transmitter is mounted on a vessel vessel and armed, a wireless ‘geo-fence’ with a 500-meter radius is created. If a boat is moved outside of this fence, Nav-Tracker uses Inmarsat based GPS satellite technology to monitor a boat’s location and notify up to ten people by email and/or text message every 2 minutes with the exact latitude/longitude, speed and heading of the vessel.

GOST Marine Magellan
Saves The Day For Massachusetts Boat Owner
Monitoring System Helps Prevent Sinking At Spring LaunchFORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) – A GOST (Global Ocean Security Technologies – formerly Paradox Marine) Marine Magellan monitoring system recently helped to prevent a potentially disastrous spring launch by alerting a boat owner in Massachusetts that his boat was taking on water shortly after it was back in the water for the season.
Jon Carey received a call from the GOST system on his cell phone not long after he gave his yard the OK to launch his Jarvis Newman 38. “The prior day I checked the boat but missed the 10 inch exhaust tube that was removed. I was less than 10 minutes away, so looking back I should have waited to be present at the launch. Fortunately, my GOST Marine Magellan worked exactly as advertised. It truly saved my season and a lot of money,” Carey said.
GOST Marine Magellan includes all the components necessary to help protect a boat and keep an eye on exactly what is happening onboard at all times. Marine Magellan notifies a boat owner or captain in seconds via a phone call if there’s high water in the bilge, low battery voltage, loss of shore power, smoke, or intrusion.
"This is yet another example of the value of direct, two-way voice call outs from Marine Magellan. This product is at the foundation of our company and has filled a significant void in the marine industry. Thousands of owners sleep better every night because GOST products are installed on their boat,” said Brian Kane, GOST Director of Research and Development.

Magellan (center) and Nav-Tracker GPS (right) security, monitoring and tracking systems.FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) – GOST (Global Ocean Security Technologies – formerly Paradox Marine) Marine Magellan and Nav-Tracker GPS security, monitoring and tracking systems are installed aboard the new Spencer 70 Penta Gone, powered by Volvo Penta’s Inboard Performance System (IPS 3600 Triple). The innovative Volvo Penta corporate flagship was commissioned to showcase the abilities and efficiencies of IPS 3600 Triple power.
Marine Magellan includes all the components necessary to help protect a boat and keep an eye on exactly what is happening onboard at all times. The Marine Magellan notifies a boat owner or captain with a phone call if there’s high water in the bilge, low battery voltage, loss of shore power, smoke, or intrusion.
When a Nav-Tracker transmitter is mounted discreetly on a boat and armed, a wireless ‘geo-fence’ with a 500-meter radius is created. If a boat is moved outside of this fence, Nav-Tracker uses Inmarsat based GPS satellite technology to monitor a boat’s location and notify up to ten people by email and/or text message every 15 minutes with the latitude/longitude, speed and heading. The systems’ optional sensors include door contacts, infrared beam sensors, deck pressure sensors and high water sensors. There is also an optional 130 decibel siren that can be added for extra protection and helps get thieves off the boat before the vessels is ever stolen.
“GOST has been very successful in recovering stolen vessels, however a vessel never stolen is always in better condition then one once recovered,” said Brian Kane, Director of Research & Development for GOST. “That is one of the significant differences with our systems. We are not just a tracking systems supplier, we offer a total package of security, monitoring, tracking and surveillance which provides much more complete protection for your vessel," he added.

GOST NT Evolution Foils Attempted Boat Theft In The Bahamas FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) – A GOST (Global Ocean Security Technologies – formerly Paradox Marine) NT Evolution boat security, monitoring and tracking system stopped would-be boat thieves from making off with a 35’ Intrepid in Treasure Cay, Bahamas in the wee hours of the morning last Friday, February 18. NT Evolution combines the GOST Nav-Tracker and Marine Magellan systems to provide boat security, monitoring and tracking in a single unit.
The Intrepid was docked behind the owner’s home. Thieves attempted to steal the vessel and once they removed the cover and boarded the vessel they were stopped immediately when the NT-Evolution system sensed the intruders, fired off the siren and alerted all of its contacts within 30 seconds of the event via the Inmarsat two-way tracking system. The thieves fled the boat before the police arrived.
”This is a prime example of why deterrence in the early stages of an attempted robbery is so important. Were it not for our siren trigger, this likely would have been another vessel recovery scenario, which usually results in a damaged boat. Time after time, GOST systems have been tested and proven to outperform the competition in real-life situations," said GOST President & CEO Jay Keenan.
About 45 minutes later, a boat just south of this location, which did not have a Nav-Tracker aboard, was stolen.

Goes Down Under With Launch of GOST AustraliaFORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) – Global Ocean Security Technologies (GOST - formerly Paradox Marine) has launched GOST Australia to distribute its marine security and vessel tracking systems in Australia.
GOST Australia will be headed by Blake Cooper, Managing Director of Queensland-based Atlantis Security. “The GOST security products range meets the needs of the Australian recreational, commercial and maritime communities and exceeds all relevant Australian Quality Standards,” Cooper said. “We look forward to establishing strategic partnerships with installers and distributors with exceptionally high standards and excellent track records for professionalism and customer service,” he added.
The GOST executive team at the recent Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Left to right: Jay Keenan, President & CE;, Brian Kane, Director of R&;, Blake Cooper, Managing Director of GOST Australia; and Erin Keenan, CFO.One the new products in the GOST range is the GOST Cloak system. Most property loss occurs in the first initial minutes of a break-in, before police or security teams have had a chance to respond. The GOST Cloak system is designed to provide protection in the critical time gap between onboard alarm activation and the response team’s arrival.
In a matter of seconds, the GOST Cloak system fills the protected vessel interior with an impenetrable cloud of smoke that makes the intruder disoriented and confused and forces them off the vessel until the response team arrives. This prevents damage or loss of property on the vessel.
The fog is created by vaporizing a specially formulated glycol solution. Glycol is classified as a foodstuff and is found in many day-to-day substances such as toothpaste and deodorants. The vapor produced is a dense, white fog which reduces visibility to less than 30 cm, practically no visibility, but which, under normal usage, is harmless to anything aboard a yacht.

www.gostglobal.comRevenge To Offer Nav-Tracker
Boat Location & GPS Tracking Systems
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) – Revenge Advanced Composites (RAC), manufacturer of Revenge Yachts and combatant watercraft for the US military, will now offer some of its models with Nav-Tracker wireless boat location and GPS tracking systems from Global Ocean Security Technologies (GOST), formerly Paradox Marine.
RAC pioneered the use of high-temperature cured carbon fiber for the construction of boat hulls in the recreational market and later expanded the process to the construction of vessels to meet the international maritime security requirements of the U.S. Special Operations Command and the U.S. Navy. For more information, visit www.rvgac.com.
When a Nav-Tracker transmitter is mounted discreetly on a boat and armed, a wireless ‘geo-fence’ with a 500-meter range can be created. If a boat is moved outside of this fence, Nav-Tracker uses Inmarsat based GPS satellite technology to monitor a boat’s location and notify up to four people by email and/or text message every 15 minutes with the latitude/longitude, speed, heading and distance to closest city.

www.gostglobal.comGOST To Introduce New Onboard Security Cameras At NMEA 2010
Seattle, Washington, September 29 – October 2FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) – Global Ocean Security Technologies (GOST - formerly Paradox Marine) will introduce the industry to three new onboard security cameras at the National Marine Electronics Association’s 2010 International Marine Electronics Conference and Expo, September 29-October 2 in Seattle, Washington.
GOST Vari-Focal Ball Analog Camera
Measuring only 4.72 inch (D) X 3.94 inch (H) inches in diameter, the GOST Vari-Focal Ball Analog Camera is a rugged, tamper proof, water resistant camera which will not detract from the décor and ambience of the vessel. With 24 state-of-the-art, infrared LED’s, the VF Ball Camera automatically senses light changes and switches the camera mode from bright to monochrome light at night, or in low light conditions. The high resolution camera uses 540 TVL and a 2.8 to 11 mm DC Iris lens, allowing the user to set the zoom where it is most appropriate and easily adjusts when necessary.
GOST Mini Dome LED
The new GOST Mini Dome Infrared LED Camera measuring just 3.14 inch (D) X 1.10 Inch (H), is a high performance, high resolution; day/night camera will perform very well in total darkness, with powerful illumination to provide visibility of objects up to 20 feet away. This camera has Sony Super HAD II CCD with 540 TVL and a 3.6mm fixed iris lens.
GOST Mini Dome Pixim
The new GOST Mini Dome Camera with Pixim Digital Pixel System Technology measuring just 3.14 inch (D) X 1.10 Inch (H), is a high performance camera which offers exceptional Wide Dynamic Range and sensitivity for any harsh lighting environment. Offering high resolution imaging with its 1/3" CMOS Pixim chip set, the programming of all Mini Dome Prixim functions can be managed easily through the camera joystick and on-screen display. Pixim's patented Digital Pixel System technology revolutionizes the way video cameras capture and process images. Unlike traditional cameras, where each pixel cannot adjust to highlights and lowlights in the same scene, Pixim technology empowers hundreds of thousands of pixels to act like individual cameras constantly self-adjusting. This all-digital system enables Pixim-powered cameras to efficiently capture the whole picture, regardless of lighting condition or application, to secure the highest resolution, natural color and clarity, while automatically eliminating image-compromising visual noise (e.g., glare, reflections).

www.gostglobal.comNew GOST Immobilizer Helps Prevent Theft
of Trailerboats, Tenders, RIBs, PWC’s
See at NMEA 2010, September 29 – October 2
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) – Global Ocean Security Technologies (GOST - formerly Paradox Marine) has introduced GOST Immobilizer, a start up prevention system for single-engine outboard boats, yacht tenders, RIBs and PWCs.
The device is controlled via a wireless key fob. When armed, the Immobilizer blocks high current draw from the battery while still allowing low power consumption components to function normally. When an engine startup is attempted, the Immobilizer sounds a timed siren and prevents the engine from turning over.
The Immobilizer installs easily and thanks to its hardened battery lug connection design, is difficult to compromise. “Immobilizer is the ideal solution for small craft and fills a significant void in this segment of the market. It will thwart the joy riders and island hoppers who need a quick transport from a tender when it is tied up at a transient dock,” said GOST Director of Research and Development Brian Kane.

Nav-Tracker Tracks Stolen Boat In The Bahamas
HydraSport Recovered 8 Hours LaterFT. LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) - A 33-foot HydraSport equipped with the Nav-Tracker 1.0 wireless boat location and GPS tracking system from Paradox Marine, stolen from Treasure Cay in the Bahamas in the early morning hours last Wednesday (July 14), was located by the system and recovered in Bimini by authorities about eight hours later.
“There is no question that without Nav-Tracker, my boat would have never been found,” said Jose Mas, the owner. “I had just installed the system two weeks before and I was amazed at being able to track the boat and follow the thieves. In addition to the technology, the customer service provided by Paradox Marine in tracking my boat real time from theft to recovery was amazing. Everyone at Treasure Cay in the Bahamas was talking about an owner tracking the boat as it was stolen. Hopefully, more boat owners will install the Nav-Tracker to help deter boat thieves,” he added.
Paradox Marine’s Nav-Tracker 2.0 with an infrared beam sensor and a siren was responsible for protecting a second boat the same night - some 15 miles away from Treasure Cay, in the Marsh Harbor area. The owner received an ‘in alarm’ message from their boat as the thieves were trying to steal it. After the siren went off, the would-be thieves took off.
Last year, Paradox Marine received a service medal from the U.S. Coast Guard in recognition of the role Nav-Tracker 2.0 played in the recovery of a Contender stolen in the Bahamas in September, 2008. As many as 27,000 boats are stolen annually and the odds of recovery are only about 1 in 10, according to the International Association of Marine Investigators.
When a Nav-Tracker 2.0 transmitter is mounted discreetly on a boat and armed, a wireless ‘fence’ with a 500-meter range can be created. If a boat is moved outside of this fence, Nav-Tracker 2.0 uses Inmarsat based GPS satellite technology to monitor a boat’s location and notify up to four people by email and/or text message every 15 minutes with the latitude/longitude, speed, heading and distance to closest city.
The message transmitted from Nav-Tracker on board the HydraSport when it was stolen would have been similar to this:
Message From Nav-Tracker
User: Paradox Marine
Asset: M/Y Island Time
Fleet: ETI

Paradox Marine To Feature Magellan Insight GPS DVR,
NAV-TRACKER & Inferno Acoustic Boat Security Systems
At 2010 Palm Beach International Boat Show
Clematis Tent Booth 650, March 25-28FT. LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) - Boat security systems supplier Paradox Marine will feature its Magellan Insight GPS DVR & Nav-Tracker GPS tracking systems and Inferno Acoustic Deterrents at the 2010 Palm Beach International Boat Show, March 25-28, Clematis Tent, booth 650.
Insight includes all the components necessary to help protect a boat and keep an eye on exactly what is happening onboard at all times. The system sends emails and text messages when events occur and saves a snapshot or video clip to the user’s account which is accessible on any computer or mobile phone with internet access. The owner sees what the camera sees when motion is detected and it also allows the owner to login and view streaming video off the boat on their computer or cell phone.
In addition, Insight notifies a boat owner or captain with a phone call if there’s high water in the bilge, low battery voltage, loss of shore power, smoke or intrusion. If the boat is moved without authorization or stolen, Insight will send emails or text messages every 15 minutes (programmable) with the vessel’s speed, heading, latitude and longitude.
Connected to the internet through a 3G GSM communication device, Insight provides complete access to a boat from any computer with internet access or through a web-enabled mobile phone. The system has complete GPS tracking through the Inmarsat IsatM2M network and will report alarm notifications from anywhere in the world. When in 3G range, Insight will report alarms with a voice message, and/or email and/or SMS text message and allow owners to view live video feeds off the boat. The system will also interface with onboard satellite equipment for global video streaming and two-way voice communication.
Owners and captains have a personalized, password-protected web page to view live streaming video from onboard cameras and archived footage from triggered events. (Insight DVR adds the ability to record and store 30 days of video from 4 onboard cameras.) Onboard security cameras can be armed, disarmed and controlled from the website.
The NAV-TRACKER 2.0 GPS Tracking System keeps owners or captains informed of a boat’s location through a GPS tracking service using the Inmarsat satellite network. It will continue to send messages every 15 minutes (programmable) until the vessel returns to the geo-fence area or the system is disarmed.
The systems’ optional sensors include door contacts, infrared beam sensors, deck pressure sensors, engine removal sensors and high water sensors. There is also an optional 130 decibel siren that can be added for extra protection.
Paradox Marine will also be featuring Inferno Acoustic Deterrents at the Palm Beach show. Inferno’s state-of-the-art acoustic technology generates a patented, unbearable frequency pattern that immediately disrupts the activities of onboard intruders - such as terrorists, pirates or robbers - and buys time for crews to reach safe havens. Each unit has built-in sabotage protection with a long-life battery. A durable aluminum and steel casing is specially powder coated for protection against the harsh marine environment. A single unit covers areas up to 750 square feet. Larger areas can be covered with several units.
Inferno is available as a standalone deterrent or integrated into Paradox Marine’s comprehensive vessel security, monitoring, tracking & surveillance systems.

If the boat is moved without authorization or stolen, Insight will send emails or text messages every 15 minutes (programmable) with the vessel’s speed, heading, latitude and longitude and distance to closest city.
Connected to the internet through a 3G GSM communication device, Insight provides complete access to a boat from any computer with internet access or through a web-enabled mobile phone. The system has complete GPS tracking through the Inmarsat IsatM2M network and will report alarm notifications from anywhere in the world. When in 3G range, Insight will report alarms with a voice message and/or email and/or SMS text message and allow owners to view live video feeds off the boat.
The system sets a 500 Meter geo-fence (radius) around the vessel when armed. In the event of geo-fence breach or if any of the optional sensors go into alarm mode, the system will send up to 10 emails or text messages with latitude, longitude, speed and heading.
Inferno Acoustic Deterrents feature state-of-the-art acoustic technology generates a patented, unbearable frequency pattern that immediately disrupts the activities of onboard intruders - such as terrorists, pirates or robbers - and buys time for crews to reach safe havens. Each unit has built-in sabotage protection with a long-life battery. A durable aluminum and steel casing is specially powder coated for protection against the harsh marine environment.
